Outbreak of the war; deportation on foot; attempt to hide; capture by Nationalist Ukrainians; transfer to Bershad on foot including robbery of possessions; deportation to the Bershad Ghetto; ghetto life including being guarded by Romanians; help from a Ukrainian friend of the witness' mother; her mother's death from typhus, January 1942; round up of Jews and hiding on the roof with her brother; shooting Jews at the pit; deaths of her father and brother from starvation, 1943; liberation, 1944.
Move to Belcesti, 1950; aliya to Israel, 1985.
