Anti-Jewish restrictions including yellow badge, 1941; deportation of the witness’ sister; escape to her grandmother's apartment; German occupation; anti-Jewish restrictions including robbery of property; finds a hiding place in the home of a Jewish family using a false identity; name change to Edit Poloni; deportation to Auschwitz, Yom Kippur (27 September) 1944; transfer to Auschwitz-Birkenau; transfer to Lippstadt; camp life including labor in an ammunitions factory; exchange of recipes with women; transfer to Mastholte by train; liberation by the US Army. Move to Berlin; return to Czechoslovakia; reunion with her uncle and grandmother; marriage; aliya to Israel, 1949; move to the Netherlands.
