Deportation to the Lodz Ghetto; ghetto life including labor of his father as the manager of a furniture workshop until 1942; activities of Mordechai Rumkowski head of the Judenrat; Jewish police activities; death of his brother; aliya training with Gordonia in the Marysin Ghetto; deportation with his brother to Auschwitz, September 1942; transfer to Vechelde; camp life including labor in a military vehicle factory; liberation in Ludwigslust, 1945. Return to Lodz; move to Italy; aliya to Eretz Israel on the ship, "Dov Hoz".
