Outbreak of war; imposition of anti-Jewish restrictions; escape between Bratislava and Hlohovec; hospitalization and rescue from deportation, 1942; deportation to Zilina; camp life including payment of a bribe in exchange for labor and living quarters outside the camp; conversion with other families; life in hiding in various hiding places in Bratislava; obtains forged documents; transfer to a hiding place in Cifer; life in hiding while hidden in a Gypsy community with help from the JDC; detention and interrogation by the Gestapo; fostering of a Jewish baby who was abandoned in the prison; deportation to Sered; transfer to Vyhne; transfer to Novaky; death march to Theresienstadt, 1945; liberation. Life in Bratislava; joins a Zionist movement and aliya to Israel, 1949.
