German occupation, 1940; deportation to Secureni; transfer to Lipcani; camp life including labor paving roads; transfer back to Secureni; transfer to Atachi; transfer to Mogilev-Podolskiy; transfer to Kopaygorod; escape to a forest near Popovtsy; life in a kolkhoz including labor in a smithy with his father and brother; arrest; escape; labor in a jelly factory; liberation, winter 1944. Drafted into the Red Army; release; return to Hotin; aliya to Eretz Israel, 1946.
