Outbreak of the war; escape to Budapest; return to Kosice; deportation to the Kosice Ghetto; deportation to Auschwitz, 1944; transfer to Estonia; camp life including labor in an industrial oil factory and at digging; death march in the direction of Germany; liberation by the Red Army. Aliya attempt to Eretz Israel on the ship, "Exodus", 1948; aliya, 1948.
