Testimony of Sara (Shein) Eizenberg, born in Budapest, Hungary, 1930, regarding her experiences in the Budapest Ghetto From a traditional family; witness' father is a clerk; increase in antisemitism including her father's dismissal from work and his being drafted into a labor battalion. German occupation, March 1944; anti-Jewish decrees including expulsion from school and yellow badge; deportation to the Budapest Ghetto, December 1944; ghetto life including living in a school and help from the JDC; liberation by the Red Army, January 1945. Return home; joins aliya training; aliya attempt to Eretz Israel on the ship, "Knesset Israel", detention in Cyprus, 1946; aliya to Eretz Israel, October 1947.
