German occupation; deportation to the Krakow Ghetto, 1941; ghetto life including work in a garage and detention; deportation of his parents to Belzec; murder of his parents; deportation in the direction of Auschwitz; escape and return to Krakow; life being hidden by a Polish friend; liberation by the Red Army, January 1945. Bnei Akiva activities; aliya to Israel, 1948; enlists in the IDF; marriage and starts a family.
