Testimony of Yehudit Eudice Ilonka (Rozental) Poplinger, born in Targul Lapusului, Romania, 1927, regarding her experiences in Borpatak, Auschwitz and Liebau Religious family; death of her father; relations with the non-Jewish population. Outbreak of the war, 1939; annexation to Hungary; attempt to make aliya to Eretz Israel; German occupation; decrees including termination of studies and the yellow badge; witness learns sewing; transfer to Borpatak; deportation to Auschwitz; camp life including labor sorting inmates' clothing and belongings; murder of her mother and brother; transfer to Liebau; camp life including labor in a factory for aircraft parts; liberation by the Red Army. Receives help from the Red Cross; return to Romania; aliya attempt to Eretz Israel; detention in Cyprus; aliya to Israel, 1948.
