German occupation, 1939; return to Sosnowiec; deportation to the Srodula Ghetto, 1943; ghetto life including the hanging of three Jews; deportation of her parents to forced labor; "Aktions" in the ghetto; her uncle's activities in the Polish underground; transfer to Warsaw with her mother, with help from a German Army officer; life in hiding; escape to a church; transfer to hiding in another apartment; her mother joins the Polish underground as a courier; life with a Polish family; turned in by the Polish family's son; capture of her father; escape from an SS soldier; transfer to another apartment where she is hidden by a Polish woman; murder of her father; Warsaw Polish Uprising; her mother's arrest; liberation by the Red Army. Return to Sosnowiec with her mother; aliya to Israel, 1950; marriage; starts a family; studies.
