Outbreak of the war, 1939; escape to the east; drafted to forced labor for the Soviets; release at Brzesc Nad Bugiem, 1941; German occupation; wanderings and hiding in various places; life in Ukrainian villages using a false identity; joins the Wanda Wasilewska unit of Polish soldiers; combat in various places including Berlin; end of the war.
Escape to the American Occupied Zone; help from the JDC; life in the Landsberg DP camp; move to the Netherlands and Belgium; aliya to Eretz Israel from Sete, France, on the ship, "Theodor Herzl", 1946.
