Testimony of Melita (Katz) Eichenbaum, born in Sadagura, Romania, 1928, regarding her experiences in Bodovka and Verkhovka From a middle-class family from Sadagura and Falticeni, family owns a photography store and camera factory. Soviet occupation, summer 1940; murder of the witness' father by the Romanians; burial of her father in a mass grave in the forest, summer 1941; deportation to Bodovka, October 1941; transfer from Bodovka to Verkhovka; life in Verkhovka with her mother including agricultural work; barter with the village Ukrainians; deaths of her relatives from typhus, winter 1941; liberation by the Red Army, April 1944. Return to Sadagura on foot; life under a Communist regime; aliya to Israel, 1950.
