Deportation of his oldest brother to work battalions in Ukraine; aliya of his father and sister to Eretz Israel; distances himself from Judaism; move to Budapest; work in a factory and economic help to his parents; joins the Communist underground and distributes fliers; life using a false identity; German occupation, March 1944; drafted to a work battalion, 1944; transfer to Szekesfehervar; transfer to Szodok; transfer to Hegyeshalom; transfer to Hangony; transfer to Kecskemet; deportation of his parents to Auschwitz, Shavuot (28 May) 1944; escape to Budapest; life in a Glass House until the liberation. Return to Satu Mare; attempt to illegally cross the border to Belgium; aliya to Israel, 1948.
