From a religious Zionist family; childhood in Wolbrom; learns in a "heder", a Polish school, and an ORT school in Piotrkow; Beitar activities.
Outbreak of the war, 1939; unsuccessful attempt to escape to the East; death of the witness' sick father; deportation to the Wolbrom Ghetto; ghetto life including labor in the mail; receives a pass to go out of the ghetto and establishment of contacts with Poles; help to Jews in sending mail and packages to other cities; voluntary transfer to Rozwadow, following the deportation of his mother and two brothers, autumn 1942; camp life; transfer to Stalowa Wola; camp life including labor in a weapons factory until spring 1944; transfer to Plaszow by train; transfer to Gross-Rosen; transfer to Goerlitz; camp life including labor on a lathe in a weapons factory; sabotage of the factory's products; death march; return to Goerlitz; pneumonia and hospitalization; liberation by the Red Army.
Return to Poland; move to Germany; enlists in the Irgun; aliya attempt to Eretz Israel on the ship, "Altalena"; deportation by the British; second aliya, 1948; military service in the IDF; witness at trial of the Rozwadow commandant in Germany.
