Annexation to Hungary, 1939; Aryanization of the family shoe store and loss of livelihood; German occupation, March 1944; deportation to the Chust Ghetto; deportation to Auschwitz-Birkenau; camp life with her younger sister in the children's block from late May 1944; rescue of her sister and her friend; transfer to Nuernberg; camp life including labor in a Siemens factory; air-raids; transfer to Holejsov; liberation, 05 May 1945.
Move to Landsberg; joins a Dror kibbutz; hospitalization due to tuberculosis; aliya attempt on the ship, "Exodus"; return to Germany, 1947; aliya to Israel, spring 1948.
