Annexation of the area to Hungary, April 1941; life on pre-army training in Hungary; move to Budapest; return home; family holiday; work in his father's shop; German occupation, March 1944; decrees including confiscation of property and yellow badge; deportation to the Subotica Ghetto; separation from his parents; draft to forced labor in Szeged; air-raids; deportation of his parents to Strasshof and Theresienstadt; death of his father; meets Soviet soldiers; volunteer in a partisan unit; life with the partisans; wounded in the leg and hospitalization.
