Testimony of Haya (Gorbach) Meshulam, born in Rafalowka, Poland, 1933, regarding her experiences in a forest with help from partisans Life before the war; attends a Tarbut school; arrival of many refugees. Deportation to the Rafalowka Ghetto; looting of property; escape to a forest; Yom Kippur fast in the forest; murder of family members by Ukrainian soldiers; escape to the deepest part of the forest after rescue from the murder; lice; meets Jewish partisans from the Soviet Union and is helped by them; return to Rafalowka, late 1944; escape to Chelm in fear of the Ukrainian units. Move to Lublin; move to a Dror children's home in Waldenburg; reunion with her sister while en route to Eretz Israel with Bricha; life in a castle in France; aliya attempt on the ship, "Theodor Herzl"; detention in Cyprus; aliya to Eretz Israel, 1947.
