German occupation, 1939; deportation to the Lodz Ghetto; attends high school; arrival of her uncle's family to the Lodz Ghetto from Germany; suicide of her aunt; labor in a horse harness factory; deportation to Auschwitz, autumn 1944; selection by Mengele; camp life including playing the accordion for the camp command; transfer to Lenzingen, winter 1945; camp life including labor in a weapons factory; receives extra food due to her singing of operas; liberation by the US Army, May 1945. Sets sail on the "Palmach" ship and aliya attempt; detention in Cyprus; marriage; aliya to Eretz Israel, 1947.
