Outbreak of the war; deportation to Transnistria; crossing the Dniester River on rafts; drowning of Jews in the river; robbery of valuables; transfer to Mogilev-Podolski; ghetto life; escape attemps; return to Mogilev-Podolski; deaths of her parents; hiding in a barrel in a cellar and a weapons factory during a manhunt for Jews; placed in an orphanage; life in the orphanage; return to Romania; fostering by Romanian families; gathering of Jewish orphans from throughout Romania, 1944. Sets sail to Eretz Israel via Turkey with a group of orphans on the ship, "Bulbul", 1944.
