Religious family; move to Nyirbator, 1931; learns in a "heder", a Talmud Torah and a elementary school; work from a young age; displays of antisemitism.
Re-annexation to Hungary; draft of his father to forced labor; deportation with his mother and brothers to Havasalja as non-Hungarian citizens; return of his father as an Hungarian officer; return to Nyirbator; German occupation, 1944; deportation of the Jews to the Simapuszta Ghetto; deportation to Auschwitz; separation from his mother and brothers who perished; remains with his father; transfer to Fuenfteichen; camp life; transfer to Goerlitz; camp life; death march, February 1945; return to Goerlitz; camp life including labor digging anti-tank trenches; liberation by the Red Army, May 1945.
Return home; joins Hanoar Hatzioni youth movement in Budapest; aliya training; aliya to Eretz Israel, 1948; starts a family; life in Switzerland.
