Outbreak of the war; increase in antisemitism and burning of the carpentry workshop, 1940; anti-Jewish legislation including the yellow badge; deportation to Jalomita, 1941; transfer back to Iasi; hospitalization; deportation to Todireni; camp life including labor digging ditches; transfer to Predeal; camp life including labor digging; liberation by the Red Army. Return to Iasi; marriage; aliya to Israel, 1948.
