Testimony of Aharon Tzarfati, born in Thessaloniki, Greece, 1926, regarding his experiences in the Thessaloniki Ghetto, Auschwitz-Birkenau, Buna, Buchenwald, Magdeburg and Berlin Life before the war; death of his father, 1936, work in a leather store and sells cigarettes on the street. German occupation, 1941; sells sweets to be able to survive; deportation to the Baron Hirsh - Thessaloniki Ghetto, 1943; deportation to Auschwitz-Birkenau; camp life including surgery in the infimary; attends a construction school and labor building warehouses; transfer to Buna, late 1943; camp life including labor digging; transfer to Buchenwald, probably early 1945; transfer to Magdeburg; camp life including labor breaking rocks in a tunnel and laying railroad tracks; transfer to Berlin; liberation, April 1945. Return to Greece; aliya training; aliya to Eretz Israel, 1945.
