Soviet occupation, 1940; German occupation, June 1941; escape to fields; in hiding in a barrack with the help of a neighbor; escape back home; deportation to Vertujeni; camp life including labor carrying rocks; transfer to Soroka; camp life including labor renovating and cleaning; escape to Bershad, autumn 1941; camp life including search for relatives and labor in his uncle's bakery; marriage and starts a family, early 1943; transfer to Nicolaevca; transfer to Barbarovka; establishment of the camp and labor in a mill; transfer back to Bershad; meets his wife and daughter; liberation by the Red Army, 1944. Draft into the Red Army until 1946; return to Romania; the family expands, 1952; aliya to Israel, 1961; life in Israel; his son is killed in action during the Yom Kippur War.
