Testimony of Sara Anna (Altman) Levi, born in Debrecen, Hungary, 1927, regarding her experiences in the Debrecen Ghetto, Auschwitz, Bergen-Belsen and Salzwedel Traditional family; the family owns a fur shop. German occupation, March 1944; increase in antisemitism; transfer of the shop to Hungarian owners; decrees including the yellow badge and deportation to the Debrecen Ghetto, 1944; transfer to a brick factory; deportation to Auschwitz, July 1944; transfer to Bergen-Belsen, September 1944; transfer to Salzwedel; camp life including labor in a weapons factory; liberation by the US Army, April 1945. Return to Debrecen; aliya to Israel, 1948.
