German occupation, March 1944; volunteers for a labor camp near Ozd; drafting of his father to a labor battalion; deportation to the Miskolc Ghetto, April 1944; drafted to a labor unit; transfer to Olšovany; labor cutting and logging trees; transfer to Poland; building dams; air-raids; escape to Hungary, September 1944; work burying Red Army soldiers, evacuation og wounded Hungarians and clearing rubble; deportation to Bruck; meets his father; deportation to Mauthausen; liberation, 1945. Death of his father; move to Budapest; help from the JDC; aliya to Israel via Czechoslovakia, Austria and Italy, 1949; absorption.
