Outbreak of the war; Soviet occupation; German occupation; escape with her brother to Illintsy; life in Illintsy including work in a sugar factory; exile to Siberia; release from a detention camp in a forest, winter 1942; transfer to Uzbekistan; typhus; recuperation in Samarkand; death of her brother; end of the war. Move to Lwow, 1946; marriage and birth of her son; death of her son; move to Austria; life with the help of the JDC; aliya to Israel, 1949.
