Testimony of Moshe Kaufman, born in Cuzdrioara, Romania, 1918, regarding his experiences in Bistrita, the Bistrita Ghetto, a labor camp in the Ukraine, Mauthausen, Auschwitz and Guenskirchen camps and a death march His childhood in Sintereag; death of his father and move of the family to Bistrita, 1925; studies and qualified as an accountant. Drafted into the Romanian Army, 1939; military service for 18 months, until mid-1940; return to Bistrita; deportation to a labor camp in the Ukraine, 1942; return to Bistrita, 1944; deportation to the Bistrita Ghetto, May 1944; deportation to Auschwitz, June 1944; labor as a wagon driver; death march, January 1945; transfer by train to Mauthausen; transfer to Guenskirchen; the Germans flee, April 1945. Return to Bistrita; aliya to Israel, 1959.
