Outbreak of the war; escape attempts to the United States and Spain; escape to Nice, 1940; life in the Washington Hotel; escape to Switzerland vie Aix Les Bains, 1943; life in Champery; move to Tourhaldiman; placed in the Asher Jewish institution with the help of the Joint; end of the war.
Return of the family to Belgium with the help of the Red Cross, 1945; aliya to Israel, 1975.
