Outbreak of the war; drafted ino the army; arrival of refugees from Poland and their absorption; German occupation; deportation to a labor camp in Hungary, May 1944; separation from his mother; transfer to Szolnok camp; camp life and labor in the train station; transfer to Cele; camp life and labor cleaning government offices, November 1944; drafted to forced labor; escape with the help of an Hungarian man to Subotica; escape to Szeged.
Investigation by the Soviet authorities occupation afor spying; release from detention; end of the war; activities of Aliya Bet; move to a DP camp; establishment and manager of an orphanage with the help of the JDC; marriage in the camp; aliya attempt onboard the ship "Theodor Herzl"; detention in Cyprus; aliya, April 1947.
