Entry of the Hungarians, 1938; enlistment to labor troops and integration of service with studies; news of a deportation and escape with a friend to the Romanian border area, May 1941; passage through fields; getting help from local farmers; seizure by Hungarian officers; transfer to a labor camp in Esztergom, 1944; receipt of a postcard from the family deported to Auschwitz that everything is fine with them; transfer to the Gyor ghetto; going to work in a coal factory; removal from the ghetto on a march to Austria.
Liberation; back to Budapest; a meeting with his older brother who had returned from labor camps and a meeting with his sister who survived Auschwitz; life after the war; aliya to Israel; absorption and acclimatization.
