Outbreak of the war; his family escape to Lodz; return to Wielun; decrees; rescue from an "Aktion"; deportation of the family to the Lodz Ghetto, 1942; labor in carpentry; life in the Lodz Ghetto; family in hiding during the liquidation of the ghetto; arrest by the Jewish police; deportation to Auschwitz, 1944; transfer of the witness and his father to Kaltwasser camp; labor in a quarry; camp life, August 1944-January 1945; transfer to Flossenbuerg camp; death march in the direction of Dachau, April 1945; liberation en route by the US Army, January 1945. Return to Wielun; move to Germany; aliya, 1948; absorption.
