Testimony of Miriam (Blau) Valder, born in Tekovske, Czechoslovakia, 1926, regarding her experiences in Levice, Auschwitz, Hessisch-Lichtenau and Wurzen Life before the war; attends a Jewish school; Bnei Akiva activities; studies dressmaking. Annexation to Hungary; German occupation; decrees against the Jews including the yellow badge; deportation of her siblings; deportation to Levice, spring 1944; deportation to Auschwitz; transfer to Hessisch-Lichtenau; camp life including labor in a hand grenade factory; transfer to futile labor in the forests; escape to Wurzen; liberation by the Allied forces. Detention by the Soviets, April-August 1945; return to Czechoslovakia; reunion with her brother; marriage and starts a family; move to Sahy; aliya to Israel via Bari on the ship "Galilah", 1949.
