Soviet occupation, 1939; German occupation; life in hiding; escape to the Soviet Union; capture by the Red Army; escape to Brisk D Lita; life in Brisk D Lita including selling cigarettes and alcohol; escape to Poland; capture and detention by the Red Army; deportation to Kotlas; transfer to Kanash; camp life including labor laying railroad tracks; transfer to another labor camp; camp life including being a stable hand; drafted into Anders Army; army life including the negation of Jewish soldiers rights; transfer to Uzbekistan; life in Uzbekistan including work in a JDC orphanage; transfer to Samarkand; life in Samarkand including farm labor; liberation. Return to Poland; aliya to Israel, 1948.
