Testimony of Yaakov Israel, born in Chendul Mic, 1922, regarding his experiences in a Hungarian labor battalion, Mauthausen and Gunskirchen From an ultra-Orthodox family; learns in "heder" and attends a public school; relations with the local population; learns in a yeshiva in a nearby village; learns the tailoring trade in Bucharest, 1934; move to Budapest. Drafted to a labor battalion, 1942; labor logging trees in Reghin; the Hungarian officers transfer the labor battalion to the Germans, 1944; deportation to Mauthausen; transfer to Gunskirchen to remove the corpses with the approach of the front; liberation, 1945. Life in Cluj after the war; aliya to Eretz Israel, 1946; absorption.
