Testimony of Tuvia Parente, born in Thessaloniki, Greece, 1920, regarding his experiences in the Greek Army, as a Greek POW in Italian captivity in Milan and Marseilles
Traditional family; attends an Alliance shool and a private school; visit of Aba Hushi who was an emissary from Eretz Israel; drafted into the Greek Army, 1938; service in Albania; Greek POW in Italian captivity, 1941; detention in Milan; transfer to Marseilles, 1943; camp life and labor as a porter in the port; attitude of the German supervisors; injury; liberation.
Move by the US Army to Eygpt; work in the British Army; aliya to Eretz Israel.
