Soviet occupation; her eldest sister's move to Paris; German occupation; unsuccessful attempt to escape to the Soviet Union via Atachi with relatives; wanderings from place to place; attempt to move to Mogilev-Podolski; death of her brother in Luchinets; life in Transnistria; life in an orphanage in Bukovina; transfer to Odessa.
Reunion with her uncle and aunt in Cernauti; adoption by her uncle and aunt; aliya to Israel, 1948; keeping the adoption a secret; military service in the IDF; starts a family; aliya of her sister from Paris.
