Well-to-do family; life before the war; preparations for aliya to Eretz Israel; termination of the preparations following a discussion with an emissary from Eretz Israel; murder of her brother by Romanian children, 1940.
Deportation of her father and another brother to Tirgu Jiu; deportation of the witness with her mother, sister and grandmother to Barlad, July 1941; help from the local Jews; life in a storeroom in the Kirshen family's house; work sewing with her mother and sister; death of her grandmother; liberation by the Red Army.
Reunion with her father and brother, August 1944; life in Barlad; aliya to Israel, 1951.
