Ban on Zionist activities; pogroms; deportation to the Focsani Ghetto, 1940; ghetto life; food shortage in the ghetto; drafted to forced labor in a German military airfield; maintains contact with his mother due to bribes to guards; illness and hospitalization; return to forced labor during the hospitalization.
Aliya to Eretz Israel via Syria and Lebanon, 1944; arrival in Atlit; his parents' aliya, 1949.
