Life before the Nazi rise to power in Germany; displays of antisemitism in the local school; medical studies in Geneva; acquaintance with a Zionist family; Nazi rise to power in Germany; economic boycott, 01 April 1933; aliya training in Wilhelminenhuette; life in aliya training; move to Berlin; obtains a certificate with help from Captain Francis Foley, who was later recognized as a Righteous Among the Nations by Yad Vashem.
Aliya to Eretz Israel, 1935; marriage in Jerusalem.
