List of Jews from Konstanz who were deported to Gurs, 1940
List of Jews from Konstanz who were deported to Gurs, 1940
List of Jews from Konstanz who were deported to Gurs, 1940
Included in the file (arranged in alphabetical order) is a list of 109 Jews from Konstanz, 27 Jews from Gailingen, and one Jew from Bohlingen who were deported to Gurs, 1940 (137 names, total);
The list was taken from a photocopy of three pages from an original document of the Nazi authorities that apparently included (arranged in alphabetical order) continuous lists of Jewish deportees, with the lists divided according to the deportees' last place of residence; the pages include the Jews of Konstanz; this list starts on the first page of no. 2289, and ends in the middle of the third page on no. 2397; immediately following, on the third page (no. 2398) is a list of names of the deportees from Landkreis Konstanz; the list includes one name from Bohlingen and the first names of Jews of Gailingen (until the letter "D", no. 2425); a title in English is typed at the top of the list [apparently by the Leo Baeck Institute in New York, the source of the photocopy of the list for the file];
The list includes the last name, women's maiden names, first name, birth date, and address (the street name and house number).
