Soviet occupation, 1940; marriage, 1941; German occupation, 1941; capture of his wife in an "Aktion" and her disappearance; deportation to the Riga Ghetto; transfer to the small ghetto in Riga, September 1944; ghetto life; forced labor, summer 1942-1943; deportation to a camp; camp life including labor in a sugar factory; transfer to Stutthof; transfer to Magdeburg; camp life including labor in a weapons factory; death march, April 1945; escape; liberation by the US Army, April 1945. Return to Malta; return to Riga; re-marriage, 1946; aliya to Israel, 1976.
