German occupation, 1939; decrees; deportations to Belzec; deportation to a ghetto; ghetto life and labor; arrival to Bochnia of refugees from Krakow; ghetto is turned into a labor camp; his labor as a pharmacist and medical advisor; hides a baby in a bag; liquidation of the ghetto; deportation of Jews to Auschwitz; deportation of his father to Szebnie; murder of 30 Jews, including his mother, by gunshot; transfer by train to Szebnie where he meets his father; labor in a kitchen; march in the direction of the railroad station and injury to his leg; transfer to Auschwitz; hospitalization in the sick barracks due to a high fever; tattooing of a number; camp life; labor gathering corpses; curfew in the camp; steals bread; attitude of the guards; deterioration to the condition of a Muselmann; labor in the "Canada" barracks; arrival of deportation trains to the ramp; liquidation of the Gypsy camp in Birkenau; hanging of inmates in camp; suicide of inmates on the electric fence; beatings for hiding medicines; transfer to Germany by train; camp life in various concentration camps including Dachau; typhus; his recurrent dream; burial of corpses; escape to a village from a bombed train; life in the village.
