German occupation, 1939; murder of the local intelligentsia; decrees; “Aktion" against girls and their detention in a "Beit Midrash" (religious study hall) in Kolo on Yom Kippur, 1941; transfer to a farm in Lukowo; life in Lukowo and relations with the local population; deportation to Birkenau, 1942; camp life; selection and separation from her friends; death march via Gleiwitz to Dora-Mittelbau, January 1945; transfer to Nordhausen; transfer to Bergen-Belsen; camp life; liberation by the British Army.
