Testimony of Uri Engel, born in Radauc, Romania, 1921, regarding his experiences in the Cernauti Ghetto and the Mogilev-Podolski Ghetto Life before the war. Soviet occupaiton; deterioration of the economic situation; German occupation; life in the Cernauti Ghetto; transfer to the Mogilev-Podolski Ghetto; ghetto life and typhus; liberation, 1944. Drafted into the Red Army; service in intelligence corps in Romania, Hungary, Austria and Czechoslovakia until 1946. Stood on trial for treason in the Soviet Union; sentenced to ten years in prison and hard labor in Vorkuta; camp life including and hard labor coal mining; struggle to make aliya to Israel as a refusenik; aliya to Israel, 1971.
