Testimony of Pinchas Scheinboim, born in Ryświanka, Poland, 1930, regarding his experiences in Ryświanka and in hiding in the area including Dąbrówka Religious family; death of his mother; remarriage of his father. Soviet occupation, 1939; nationalization of property; move of the family to his grandmother's; German occupation, June 1941; retreat of the Red Army; pogrom by Ukrainians; deportation of Jews to ghettos; round-up of the men, late 1941; murder of Jews and deportation of the Jews who were not murdered; rescue from mass murder; in hiding with his father and brother with a farmer in a village; wanderings between villages, amongst them Dąbrówka; sleeps in stables and cowsheds; murder of Jews, June 1943; murder of his father by stoning by Ukrainians; injury; recovery; farm labor for farmers in exchange for food; liberation by the Red Army, February 1944. Return to Rowne; life with relatives; work in commerce; move to Beuthen; activities in Hashomer Hatzair youth movement; wanderings throughout Europe; aliya attempt from Rome, February 1947; detention in Cyprus; aliya to Eretz Israel, December 1947.
