Testimony of Yehuda Shaul Frenkel, born in Budapest, 1930, regarding his experiences in Budapest Family life in Budapest and Brasso; his father is active in the Mizrachi; his mother is the chairwoman of Hamizrachi women; witness is an active member of Bnei Akiva; learns in the Torat Emet Yeshiva. His family helps refugees in transit from Poland and Slovakia to escape on the Orient Express and helps with certificates; witness relinquishes his place on the escape route in favor of a cousin who is a refugee from Slovakia, 1942; entry of the Germans into Hungary; concentration of the movement's emissaries in Budapest; preparation of forged documents; marked houses in Budapest; arrest of his parents before the departure of the Kasztner train; rescue of his brother, sister and grandmother; interrogation of his father by the Gestapo in the same prison cell as Hannah Szenes; transfer of his parents to Kistarcsa camp; transfer of the witness by Kasztner to the Glass House in the Swiss Embassy; distribution of protection papers; release of his parents on Yom Kippur and their transfer to the "Glass House"; liberation by the Red Army. Aliya to Eretz Israel on the "Max Nordau" ship, 1946; detention in Atlit; absorption in the youth village in Kfar Hasidim; move to Kibbutz Ein Hanatziv and then to Kfar Darom, September 1946.
