Hungarian occupation and the worsening of their situation in all aspects; limitations and decrees, from 1940; German occupation; concentration of the Jews, with the assistance of the Hungarians, in a forest next to their city for about a month, March 1944; deportation to Auschwitz; selection and waiting; transfer to a labor camp in the Kaiserwald forest in Latvia, July 1944; transfer to Dundaga in Latvia, then to the Windau port in Lithuania, to dismantle boxes of ammunition; a two-week march on foot to the Stutthof camp; harassment by the local population and their cruel attitude; transfer by ship from Libau to Stutthof, where they stayed for about two days; forced labor digging anti-tank tranches in Dorberg, next to Danzig, August 1944; illness and rescue from execution; an attempt, which failed, at injecting poison, January 1945; the murder of some of the women by shooting; the Germans flee; receives food from a Polish peasant; liberation by the Red Army. Preliminary rehabilitation by the Russians; attempt, at the end of the summer, to return home via Belorussia; aliya training; aliya to Israel in 1950; marriage.
