Testimony of Ornan Lev Ary, born in Vienna, Austria, 1929, regarding his experiences in the Cluj Ghetto, Auschwitz, Fallersleben, Thil and other places from an assimilated established family; his mother is an opera singer; his father is an atheist, socialist, anti-Zionist physician; attends a Jesuit Catholic school; move to Budapest, 1934; move to Cluj, autumn 1940. Establishment of the Cluj Ghetto; deportation of the family to Auschwitz; murder of his father because of his refusal to participate in Josef Mengele's research; suicide of his mother after the killing of an SS officer; transfer to Fallersleben; camp life including labor in a Volkswagen rocket factory; transfer to Thil; transfer to Longlaville; camp life; transfer to Dernau; camp life; transfer to Dora-Mittelbau, Yom Kippur (27 September) 1944; transfer to Bergen-Belsen; liberation, 15 April 1945. Return to Hungary; studies at the Sorbonne University; Aliya Bet activities; move to Italy; aliya to Eretz Israel, 1947; starts a family.
