Testimony of Masha (Katz) Solomon, born in Iwie, Poland, 1935, regarding her experiences in the Iwie Ghetto, Lida Ghetto and with the Bielski brothers' group of partisans Religious, financially secure family; her parents own a grocery store; witness attends a Tarbut school; learns Yiddish and Hebrew. German occupation, 1941; execution of 225 Jews; deportation to the Iwie Ghetto; her older brother and sister leave the ghetto to labor and do not return; murder of another sister in an "Aktion"; escape from the ghetto with the help of a friend; Lida Ghetto life; liquidation of the ghetto; in hiding in a farm estate; wanderings between various hiding places among non-Jews; joins the Bielski brothers' partisan group; life in the group of partisans. Return to Lida after the liberation; aliya of the family to Eretz Israel; life in a group of children from Selvino, 1945.
