Childhood and youth in Mihaileni; deterioration in the situation of the Jews at the end of the 1930s; deportation to Transnistria via Dorohoi, July 1941; harsh deportation journey; reaching Mogilev-Podolski; transfer to Shargorod; searching for a place to live; living in a public building; looking for relatives in Kopaygorod and returning to Shargorod; hunger; death of her father, January 1942; responsible for her sister and two younger brothers; typhus; starvation; different initiatives to work; forced labor picking and packing tobacco for a few months during the latter half of 1942.
Return to Romania to Dorohoi with orphans, January 1944; work in an orphanage in the city until September 1944; move to Bucharest to a branch of Hanoar Hatzioni youth movement until December 1944; illegal immigration to Eretz Israel onboard the "Taurus", December 1944; detained in Atlit camp; kibbutz; marriage and starting a family; absorption.
